Thrive! – Building A Thriving Future for All Forever

Creating and Sustaining Large, Positive Change. Building and Sustaining a Thriving Future for All Forever.

Vulnerable In America – We Feel And Are Vulnerable

Alert! – In America and in the world today, we are all vulnerable to some greater or lesser extent. We hold that in common. Follow the news. Start with one of the 43.6 million Americans, one in seven, who are now in poverty. Nearly four million more than in 2008. Read the rest of this entry »

Thrive! Vision – Thriving Future for Each and All

Action! Our common vision should be to survive and thrive as individuals and a people. Our common mission should be to build that survivable and thriving future for each and all of us. Separately, we will fail. Together, we can succeed. Today is the day we should join together and begin building a thriving future. www.ThrivingFuture.org

Nonpartisan action for American dream & thriving

Action! – What we need is a joint nonpartisan commitment to fulfilling the American dream and building a thriving America. It has happened before. It can and must happen again. Now is the time.
Let me respectfully suggest to Republicans, Democrats and Independents that our joint nonpartisan “mission” should be to build a better future and our joint nonpartisan “vision” should be to achieve a positive, sustainable, thriving future.

99% for Building Sustainable, Thriving Future

Alert! – In the frustrations of the 99%, there is much to be against.  Creating large, positive and sustainable change requires much to be for.  What we hold in common is our need to survive and desire to thrive.
Action! – One potential vision and mission around which the 99% can organize is “Thrive! – Building a Sustainable, Thriving Future”.  www.ThrivingFuture.org

Nonpartisan Commitment to America’s Vulnerable.

Action! – So while we cannot back off on covering people in need, there are two steps we all need to take. First, we need to get more people back to work in productive and rewarding work as soon as possible. Second, we need to make and keep health care affordable without sacrificing quality and access. Both are feasible if we have the will. America’s leaders at the national and State levels need to make and deliver on a nonpartisan commitment to make that happen and now.

Endangered American Dream. Build Thriving Future.

A survivable future? A thriving future? Americans desperately need and want both!
Will America get it? That is the question.
The 2012 elections will be about today’s and tomorrow’s pain and fear.
Today we must end the pain and reject the fear. Partisanship must end. Nonpartisanship must lead and govern.
Tomorrow must be about a survivable, thriving future. Tomorrow must be about recovering and delivering the American dream.

Bumper Sticker: Deliver American Dream! Thrive!

Alert! – Let me suggest two potential nonpartisan bumper stickers for America (and for the political parties). “Deliver the American Dream!” “America Thrive!”
As we look around America and the world, much of what is important to us is already broken or is endangered, much of it unnecessarily so.
Backing up these bumper stickers should be a joint nonpartisan commitment to fulfilling the American dream and building a thriving America. It has happened before. It can and must happen again. Now is the time.

People for repealing health reform don’t get it

Alert! – People who have made it their mission to repeal health reform don’t get it. Look around you. Talk to your family, your neighbors and your co-workers. Ask them if they feel secure when it comes to the current state of health insurance. Talk to a person who is uninsured. Talk to a person at risk if and when they lose their job. Talk to a person who is underinsured and faces bankruptcy from a major, costly illness.
Action! – The answer is not repeal. The challenge is to make it better. Read the rest of this entry »

Preventing/Reducing Recession-Based Vulnerability

Alert! – Whenever and however this recession ends, a critical question remains. How do we prevent the extraordinary vulnerability felt during this recession? That real and perceived vulnerability created huge ripple effects across not only the economy but the whole fabric of American life.
The challenge for President Obama and the rest of America’s leadership is the future toward which we build.  Read the rest of this entry »

UN create great endeavor to build a thriving future

Action! - We must achieve a better future by joining together. We must energize and empower a vast, joint endeavor of people, organizations and governments. This vast, joint endeavor must build not just a survivable future but a thriving future for our families, communities, nations, and world.
Again, the United Nations past and current good work deserves much praise. But the future demands even more from all of us. Let me strongly encourage you to help create and sustain a great and vast endeavor to build a thriving future for our families, communities, nations, and world. Extraordinary nonpartisan action to educate children

Alert! – When it comes to educating America’s children, it is not “Superman” who must deliver an effective education system. It is us. We have lost our commitment and our way when it comes to educating our next generations. The result is an endangered future for our children and America. The future of America depends on our next generation having the necessary motivation, ability and creativity to carry this country through the decades ahead. On this, the American dream will succeed or fail. Right now, we are more on the path to failure than success. Succeeding with the American dream is not about tests. It is not about blaming teachers, parents, society or students.
Action! – Succeeding with the American dream is about the next generation wanting and being able to succeed with both the normal demands of life and the extraordinary demands of the future America and world. Our current generation is obligated to make that happen. This is a nonpartisan issue requiring extraordinarily large, joint nonpartisan commitment and action. What has made the American dream and will make it for the future are generations that are extraordinarily motivated, able and creative. A thriving future requires nothing less.

Build a Thriving Future Worldwide!

Alert! – As laid out by the President, our communities and world are broken in many ways and their futures are endangered.
If this is going to change for the good, a great international endeavor is desperately needed. Much more than the United Nations has done to date. Much more than the United States has done to date.
Action! – This is a call to action to fix what is broken in America and the world and to build a thriving future reaching worldwide.
If the United Nations, with strong participation by and leadership by the U.S., finally steps up to this role, we can build a survivable and preferably thriving future.
Mr. President, it is your call. Let’s see a bit more of that “audacity of hope”.

Delivering the America Dream

Alert! – Not yet have we delivered on the American dream. We have yet to deliver on the hope. Yet to deliver on the need. Yet to deliver a survivable and thriving future.
What is troubling to all Americans, especially America’s youth, is that the America dream seems lost for the moment. The future of the American dream is endangered.
America needs to survive in the days ahead. Even that will not be easy. But if the American dream is truly to be reclaimed, then it is a thriving future we seek and must build.
Action!
– All generations of Americans should unite and jointly launch an unprecedented great movement. Something like what I call “Thrive!” Call for action to fix what is broken and build a thriving future. Three key elements are jobs (near and long term), energy independence and going green.
Now is time to return to and deliver on our dream for America. Now is the time to reclaim the American dream, a truly aspiring hope for America’s youth and all Americans.

America’s Nonpartisan Future Starts Today Or …

The 2012 election is coming.  The nonpartisan future starts today or else …
America desperately needs to survive and wants to thrive. The American need. The American dream.
America feels vulnerable. And it truly is.
America waits anxiously and watches its political leadership. America needs smart, effective nonpartisan leadership now.
Americans have a survivable and thriving future to build. We have difficult, complex problems to solve.
We don’t want to spend one penny more or one penny less than necessary. We don’t want government one bit larger or one bit smaller than necessary. We don’t want government to be one bit more intrusive or one bit less helpful than necessary.
Americans need success and soon. Americans will not wait.  America’s nonpartisan future starts today or else partisan politicians face electoral extinction.
America’s nonpartisan future starts today or else the American dream turns into a nightmare.
America’s nonpartisan future starts today and, if so, America’s survivable and thriving future starts today.

Necessities of Life Endangered – Food, Water and Air

Alert! – Our basic necessities of life – food, water and air – are insecure and endangered. Too many people, too much land lost to development, too much food production threatened by environmental degradation. These alone threaten food security. But recent events (e.g., eggs) are a clarion call for how our food and water supply can be threatened and contaminated.
Action! – A survivable and preferably thriving future demands comprehensive and timely action by America and all nations to ensure the food, air and water supply for now and generations to come. Gary Christopherson, www.ThrivingFuture.org
